  • Melbourne, 3 October – This week, AIYA Victoria LX is teaming up the Marco Polo project at The Foundation for Young Australians. AIYA National’s Partnerships Director Sam Shlansky will be delivering a workshop which aims to build international students’ resilience and equip them to embrace uncertainty.   • Melbourne, October 10 – AIYA Victoria is hosting a welcome evening and trivia night for the 2018-2018 Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP) participants. Join them for a casual evening to get to know the participants and welcome them all to Victoria. Food provided.
  • Sydney, 1 October – Join ‘Table for Generations’ Pop-Up Charity Lunch 2018 for a 5 course charity lunch and art installations from aspiring local and Indonesian artists. The money raised will go to Lanjut Sekolah, a local NPO aiming to provide access to education for children across remote Indonesia. Head to the FB event page! 
  • Sydney, 5 October – Don’t miss out on ASEAN Forum 2018. Hosted by SSEAC alongside the Sydney Environment Institute, this year’s ASEAN Forum explores the challenges of balancing environmental sustainability and economic growth in the ASEAN context.   • Sydney, 6 October – AIYA NSW are hosting ‘Let’s Share a Meal for Lombok’, a fundraising lunch with delicious Indonesian cuisine to raise funds for our Indonesian neighbours impacted by the recent earthquakes in Lombok. All money will be donated to Agung Siaga Community, who assist with post-disaster recovery. Get your ticket here! 
  • Sydney, October 11 – Join Indonesian Literature Club in Customs House Library at 11:30am for a fun and stimulating atmosphere to share and discuss a variety of literary works, both in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Space is limited, register your interest to [email protected]
