Strategic Advisor, South East Asia

About the Role
The Strategic Advisor is responsible for providing executive level strategic advice to the Commissioner for Victoria to South East Asia, as well as strategic support towards the operations of the South East Asia Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) offices. This is underpinned by a sound understanding of the Victorian economy and Government priorities, particularly Victoria’s key industries and investment and trade agenda.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience working in one of the major South East Asian countries and will have had exposure to relevant corporate decision making processes and business culture.
Through sophisticated and well developed business support experience, the successful candidate will provide high level support to new partnerships, expand Victoria’s influence throughout the region and capture economic development outcomes for the state.
The Strategic Advisor will work collaboratively across the South East Asia offices to support the Commissioner in achieving objectives and key initiatives in-market.
The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
