Vania is a recent graduate from University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and is currently working at a local architectural firm, Scott and Ryland Architects (Paddington), focusing on childcare design. Since moving to Australia in 2006, she grew up within a mix of both Australian and Indonesian culture and therefore is very motivated in contributing to the cross-cultural relationship between the two nations. Through her architectural design background, she believes in the power of design thinking and communication. She believes that design can contribute significantly on how individuals respond and interact to each other, to their natural and built environment or to the present global issues that are affecting our daily lives. After interning at Bali, Indonesia at the beginning of 2018 with SecondMuse, a Certified B Corporation and social innovation agency and taking a short break from work to travel Indonesia, Vania is exposed to reconnect with her Indonesian culture and traditions, therefore further appreciating the beauty and diversity of Indonesia. By joining AIYA National as a graphic designer, she hopes to engage the wider public on the importance of the bilateral relationship between the two contrasting yet wonderful countries.
