The Australian Strategic Policy Institute is seeking applicants for its Research Internship Program:

The ASPI Research Internship Program provides an opportunity for recent graduates to acquire practical experience to learn how strategic policy is developed and delivered to government. Interns will work in a paid research assistant capacity, under the guidance of one of our senior staff. The program offers up to 6 internships per year for a duration of around 6 months each, with modest remuneration. Part-time work arrangements may be considered. Please note that ASPI does not offer employment under the Public Services Act.

ASPI’s programs are diverse and draw upon a wide range of talents. We seek applications not only from strategic studies and international relations scholars, but also from interested science and economics graduates. Our aim is to nurture the next generation of strategic thinkers in Australia. We want to give you the opportunity to make a practical contribution to developing strategic policy, and in the process, gain some valuable ‘on the job’ training. An ASPI internship will provide access to some of Australia’s liveliest minds in the field by working with our staff and through observing roundtable discussions with some of the important visitors to ASPI.
