Achmad Sofari Usman (ARI) holds a Bachelor of Education degree in English Language specialising in Intercultural Communication, Translation, Interpreting, and Sociolinguistics. Since 2015, he has been actively involved in international youth organisations through volunteering works, youth action and leadership programs, educational projects, community empowerment, and professional development such as Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies (ACICIS), Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiatives (YSEALI), ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership (AASYP), Australia-Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA), Southeast Asia Ministry of Education Organisation (SEAMEO), and World Culture Forum (WCF).
Ari is very passionate about Language, Education, and Culture. Thus, he hopes to engage Australians and Indonesians in those areas. He believes in the importance of intercultural competence and communication as an essential foundation to build stronger connections in Australia-Indonesia relationships.
