Eva is a student of Asian Studies at The University of Melbourne, a New Columbo Plan alumni and an avid learner of Indonesian language. She first encountered Indonesia while on exchange in Bandung, where she studied at UNPAR and undertook an internship at research centre AKATIGA, contributing a working paper documenting their involvement in national policy advocacy. The most memorable aspects of her stay were the vibrancy, diversity and accessibility of Indonesian society, where opportunities were abundant to those who would take initiative. Since then, Eva has increased her Indonesian language fluency and returned to Java to undertake another internship. She hopes to use her experience and knowledge of Indonesia to engange more young people in feilds related to the bilateral relationship.
